\"flag\"<\/a>In an attempt to understand and reflect upon the current climate of the European Union and the rising trend of Euroscepticism, six newspapers from six countries have united to form the Europa project, with the aim of analysing what Europe\u2019s got going for it and what\u2019s holding it back.<\/p>\n

The following newspapers are involved:<\/p>\n

The Guardian<\/a><\/strong>, UK:<\/p>\n

La Stampa<\/a><\/strong>, Italy:<\/p>\n

Le Monde<\/a><\/strong>, France:<\/p>\n

Gazeta Wyborcza<\/a><\/strong>, Poland:<\/p>\n

S\u00fcddeutsche Zeitung<\/a><\/strong>, Germany:<\/p>\n

El Pa\u00eds<\/a><\/strong>, Spain:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To set the ball rolling, the newspapers were assigned the task of stereotyping each other and the descriptions they provided were later assessed by cultural commentators in the respective countries.<\/p>\n

Read on<\/a>to find out whether the stereotypes were accurate. Are the British really \u201cdrunk, semi-clad hooligans?\u201d\u00a0 Is Italy a country of tax dodgers? Oh, and I\u2019m sorry girls but here Italy itself admits that Latin lovers just do not exist (not under the age of 50 anyway).<\/p>\n
